Photography Site for July 19-07 Plus PhotoShop bonus

Here it is KenRockwell.com. Like everyone else Ken looks for people to follow links and purchase gear using affiliate links on his site but he is an award winning photographer. So if you are looking to buy something online why not help him out (No, I don't know Ken, nor have never even communicated with him). I have spent a great deal of time reading his site and learning a lot about photography and cameras.

Photography site for the day

This link is probably one of the best photography sites I have encountered on the web so far.
http://photo.net
if you know of a better site please leave a link here or email it to me. I am always trying to learn how to take better pictures whether it be by studying composition of other peoples work or reading about the more technical aspects of cameras and photography.

Enjoy

it's lonely at the bottom

Hmmm. I have no friends or at least non that want to hear anything that I have to say. If they did there would be a few more numbers going through this site. Perhaps I should simply close it down and forget about any of the ideas.
Or possibly take a slightly different angle. I have encountered a few great photography sites so I will post the links here and see if I can drive any traffic to them. Oh yeah I need to get traffic here first. If you happen to stop by let me know if you have any ideas how I can get additional hits on this damn blog. My next attempt may be actually doing some of the things that I said I would. or if all else fails I will start blogging about the one thing most people don't care about...Hockey! This way I can rant about as much as I want and my wife won't have to humor me and listen to it.

OK Photography websites:
www.brianjenkin.com

Another one with a questionable title (Deviantart) but worth a look. If you don't like the gallery this link takes you to search around the site there are many many more artists that are very talented.

That's it for today,
I'll try to add some other sites tomorrow.

Day 4: Still only me!

Here we are day 4: It appears this is going to be even harder than I expected. It takes a lot of time to get this setup and configured.

Time to focus on getting some traffic. Keywords could be the key. I am going to have to research these a little better and determine the best way to drive traffic to this blog.

A couple of ideas I am thinking about and should begin to progress in the near future are some PhotoShop tutorials, possibly some bad advice on design and if I get really desperate ... I will post a sample of the book I am writing. I know it will never be read even this way.

As I have figured there just is no time to get that store front set up. Maybe tonight, we'll see if I can sleep or not.

Till later S.

Day 2 - Experiment 2 begins: Affiliate (Associate) programs

I think I have this one figured out... Affiliate or Associate programs.
Tonight the objective is to set-up my own store front and experiment on how I can drive traffic through that store, thus earning up to 10% of orders ... or so they tell me! Lets keep track of how long this actually takes to get some money.

As the Title Says...

Damn I'm Broke!

This is my first post and a last-ditch attempt to create something that could (theoretically) generate a dollar or two of revenue... Might!

My Theory: If I'm right, some of you readers must be interested in advertising on the blog.

My Request: Select a company you might find of interest and advertise on my blog.

It won't cost you much, but a moments of your time might help my kids play soccer... or take guitar lessons someday. (attn: Mom-- stop clicking on the same link repeatedly- it works against this system. But thanks for the effort).

My Confession: I completely agree that I have reduced myself to a shameless pan-handler in this endeavor. On a positive note, you won't find me harassing you at stop lights with squeegee in-hand.

My Plea: Do Not Click on a few damn ads and do not help me make some coin. The payment rate is what, one cent/million clicks?

And finally,

My Thanks.
